Simple Twisted Cowl

I wanted to make something for my awesome friend, Brenda.  Brenda is a fashionista whom doesn't own any crocheted accessories in her wardrobe.  So I knew I would need to make something simple and modern for her first piece. Mission Accomplished.

Simple Twisted Cowl

One skein of worsted yarn.  Vanna's Choice in Goldfish
Size N Hook

Pattern:
Chain 46.
1st Round: SC in each chain. Join with sl st to first SC
2nd Round:  SC on bottom of original chain to create twist.
3rd Round to finish:  SC in every stitch until you use up the entire skein!

Project OVERDUE: Stash Busting Granny Squares

Perhaps it's the so-called "Nesting" phase kicking in.  Whatever the reason, I'm tired of looking at these granny squares in my crochet basket.  It is time to get this stash-busting project from Winter of 2010 completed!  When I started making granny-squares over a year ago, I had no plan really....I was just wanting to use the spring colors that I purchased earlier in the year.

Since I'm fairly sure I made up the pattern (like I do on most of my projects) and have since forgotten it, I'm not going to make any more squares.  Sure, I could count out the stitches and do a couple of trial squares to find the right dimension.  But I don't have the patience for that....I just want to get this project out of my basket....not add to it!

What should I make?

Perhaps I should make a small (really small) baby blanket?

A scarf?

I don't even remember how to put granny squares together!  UH OH!

AGT Finale Scarf.... Finally

So, here is the America's Got Talent Finale scarf finallly! I finally got around to finishing it. Unfortunately, I was using scrap yarn, and I only had enough to finish three rows. So, I pondered what I was going to do with such a long stringy looking scarf. Little man's bear was sitting on a bench looking rather frumpy. So I brightened the bear's day by giving him a sweet Happy Yellow Scarf!

America's Got Talent Scarf

Last week, while watching the America's Got Talent Finale, I thought "What a waste of time....just sitting there without doing anything productive!"

So I grab the left-over happy Yellow and my size H crochet hook and decided to make a bright scarf! I was hoping to finish the scarf during the "finale" so that I could wear it the next day....but no such luck!

I got about 2 rows completed. Now I'll need to find another reality show finale to watch while I finish it off!
