today

Today was a beautiful example of life in America. The boys participated in the neighborhood parade. Everyone was wearing red, white and blue. We displayed our big American flag from our tall red oak. We made homemade ice cream. Watched a fireworks show. I feel so blessed to live in a land that fights for freedoms and takes pride in our ideals. Today, we did little things of tradition to honor the big things that others have given up for us. Great day! My littlest one was miserable with a head cold all day (just a confirmation that I am making the right decision soon).
