Ruffle Upcycle

ruffle upcycle b

I have been dying to make a ruffle tank ever since I found the Tea Rose Home blog. I took two of my old maternity shirts and UpCycled them to something I can wear now (post-maternity). Here's what I started with:IMG_7790b
I sized the tank down by taking about an inch off the straps and 2 inches off each side. I cut up a pink knit maternity top into strips and made good use of my ruffle foot. Grabbed some old lace out of my stash....

and viola!

  2. Adorable! I am new to sewing, I wonder if I have a "ruffle foot" on my machine. Thanks for the inspiration!

I found you via your link-up at CSI, would love if you stopped by my blog too!

  3. Fantastic! I love this!

I would love if you came and linked this project to my clothes upcycling page. It has a long term linky, so your project would stay there for more than just the week of a usual linky. We have over 60 projects linked up now – some fantastic ideas – and this month I’m upcycling lots of clothes and trying to feature lots of the links too!
Do come and take a look!
